Role

Knardal Consulting AS operates in a specialised field where carbon capture must be integrated into existing industrial infrastructure and delivered with requirements for safety, traceability and technical maturity. The competence is particularly relevant at the interface between process facilities, document control, mechanical integration and practical project execution.

Professionally, the core lies in the industrialisation of CO₂ handling, where established disciplines from oil and gas must be adapted to capture, conditioning, transport and storage of CO₂. This requires robust understanding of quality management, change control and technical clarifications in project environments working in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Proprietary chemical technology for carbon capture

Knardal Consulting AS has developed a proprietary process chemical for the carbon capture process at CCS Brevik. The chemical is produced to our specification and is in operational use at the facility. The patent process has been initiated in collaboration with Bryn Aarflot, one of Norway's leading patent firms with specialist expertise in the energy sector.
